Frequently Asked Questions

Should a forensic extraction expert be certified?

Yes, our examiners hold all necessary certifications for the services we provide. It is important to have certifications so the examiner can testify in court if needed.

How much does an extraction cost?

Extraction services vary widely. A memory card recovery could be very inexpensive. Other extractions can range from a few hundred dollars to a few thousand dollars. Call out experts to discuss your extraction needs for a better idea of cost.

My crash was 6 months ago, can data still be gathered from my vehicle?

It depends on the vehicle and the circumstances. The only way to know is to call our  experts to discuss the details.

My computer or cell phone was damaged, can the data be recovered?

The answer is yes, in most cases we are successful in recovering data.

I suspect my spouse is cheating. Can data be obtained from his/her cell phone or computer?

The answer to this question is yes, as long as the privacy concerns are met.

I accidentally deleted information/files from my device, can the data be recovered?

Yes. In many cases we are able to recover deleted files from most types of storage media such as cell phones, USB devices, computers, and tablets.

Can the extracted data from these devices/vehicles be used in court?

Yes. As we mentioned before, all of our investigators/examiners hold the necessary certifications to provide any of the services rendered. We will then draft a comprehensive, high-quality report containing all of our findings. Because of this, the information we obtain and provide can be used in court proceedings.

Can I order a tool to do this myself?

In most cases, no. Collection of your own evidence for a civil or criminal case in court is frowned upon and often deemed to be inadmissible. Additionally, the training and cost of the software needed to perform these services greatly outweighs the potential savings of doing it yourself.
